About Monogram Maternity
at St.Vincent Carmel Hospital
Monogram Maternity means special touches: a birthday party to celebrate your baby’s arrival, fresh-baked cookies for the family, a complimentary post-delivery massage, and delicious meals. When you meet with a Monogram Maternity nurse, you get to design a plan of care that’s right for you, your family and your baby. We’ll answer any questions you might have, and make sure your birthing experience is the way you want it.
Our setting is small and intimate, so delivering your baby here has a family feel. Our brand-new maternity suites are spacious, bright, and comfortable, with luxury linens, contemporary furnishings (including plenty of room for your partner to stretch out), and private baths with rain showers.
Should extra care ever become necessary, an obstetrician/gynecologist, anesthesiologist, and neonatologist are available around the clock, every day.
The safe choice
Most women deliver their babies without complications. However, it’s reassuring to know that St.Vincent Carmel Hospital is prepared for anything that might arise. Our Newborn Intensive Care Unit, or NICU, is designated Level III by the state of Indiana, a fact that is comforting to most parents. The High-Risk Obstetrical staff at St.Vincent Carmel Hospital specializes in helping expectant moms with various health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or the birth of multiple infants. Our board-certified staff is experienced in high-risk deliveries.
Your big day — and beyond
When your baby is ready to enter the world, Monogram Maternity will be ready for you. You and your physician will have discussed which form of delivery is right for you, and you’ll have a full choice of pain management options. After you return home, our Breastfeeding Support Group and Lactation consultations will help you take care of your newborn — and yourself. At Monogram Maternity, we think of everything, so you can focus on the most important thing — your new baby.

Is this a free service as part of every delivery at St Vincent Carmel?
Absolutley. We encourage you to come in, at no charge, to talk through your plans and concerns and to complete some hospital paperwork before your delivery. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.
